Bolingbrook Golf Club Overview
Bolingbrook is one of the finest golf experiences in the Chicagoland area. Let's start with the golf course. The 7,104 yard links-style course is not very hilly, but requires accurate shot placements throughout the round to avoid the abundant water, which comes into play on at least 12 holes by my count. The Arthur Hills design includes bunkers in the strategically-frustrating places you'd expect for a course of this stature. The course is well maintained, but you'll need to contend with the wind, as this place is really exposed. The golf carts include advanced GPS.
The 600 yard 5th hole is a real tester, but most people love talking about the par-3 15th hole, which features an island green. It's the final par 3 of the round; stay vigilant. The course is a real gem, and the practice facility is too, which is named the Bolingbrook Golf Academy. The huge driving range has grass tees to hit from. Beyond the driving range is a 10-acre short game practice area with two par-3 holes, and a variety of practice greens, bunkers, and targets to aim at.
Bolingbrook's clubhouse is a sight to behold. At 76,000 square feet, it's one of the largest in Illinois. The huge pro shop of course has everything you'll need for the day and a lot more. The Nest Bar and Grill is the restaurant here and has a full menu, plus various events throughout the year.
This club has won a lot of awards throughout the past 20 years, and it's easy to see why.
