Willow Crest Golf Club Overview
Located within the Hilton Oak Brook Hills Resort, Willow Crest Golf Club has a lot of offer. In getting to the course, you drive up a decent sized hill, which to Chicagoland golfers signals there will likely be some interesting shots to come. Willow Crest has a lot going for it, with a great pro shop and a nice restaurant, not to mention a golf simulator facility. Unfortunately there's no driving range, but there are two practice nets to hit into.
The course itself is intriguing and very well maintained. Fairways strategically narrow and widen in spots to draw your eye; huge bunkers buttress both fairways and greens. Many greens here are not only steep, but irregularly shaped, leading to awkward putts. Plus, there's a lot of water to avoid at Willow Crest. A round of golf here is taxing on all levels. The golf carts here don't have a GPS device unfortunately, which would be useful. At this point, I think most courses in this price range have GPS carts.
The restaurant here is called the Tin Cup Bar & Grille and offers your standard American fare. There's a game room next to the restaurant with a variety of video games, darts, and air hockey. The pro shop here is great and has everything you need. I actually bought a golf bag here and got a great deal. Looking forward to coming back soon.
