9 holes of challenging golf await patrons of Palos Country Club. The golf course itself here is also known as Southmoor Golf Club, which is a nod to its historic roots. There are four tee boxes to play from, which is helpful due to the difficulty of navigating some of the tougher holes. Golfers battle with hills and water hazards, both a ubiquitous presence throughout the 3,154 yard track. Speaking of battles, ownership of the club itself is a subject of intrigue, due to a long running family dispute.

There’s one practice green here. The club is happy to host events and banquets. Murphy’s on the Green is the restaurant here, which has a huge menu and classic Irish pub vibes.
