Cog Hill calls their practice area the Learning Center. The facilities here are top notch. They also have an amazing junior program.
The driving range has a tracking system called TopTracer, which analyzes your ball flight, just like the pros.
TopTracer keeps track of all your shots. You get the carry distance, total distance, ball speed, launch angle, height, hang time, etc. Really cool to see your cumulative shot stats and trajectories.
The mats at the Cog Hill driving range.
Dozens of hitting bays, at two different angles to the range. Everything is on one level -- not multiple floors.
The old Cog Hill barn in the distance at the back of the range. Lots of flags to hit to.
The range is open all year round, with a heating system for the winter.
There's a putting green to the right of the range. One of many, many practice greens at Cog.
Another practice green, to the left of the range, when facing it from the parking lot.
A practice bunker. It rained heavily the day before I visited Cog, so it's not in good shape in the photo. I've practiced here plenty before, it doesn't look like this generally.
"Please hit bunker shots to checkered flag ONLY"
Cog's pro shops facilitate a full club testing and fitting program.
This is the enormous putting green dedicated to courses 2 and 4.
